Voltak Oy
Voltak Oy designs, installs and commissions electrical and electronic systems for boats and ships. We have worked in the marine industry since 2007, on vessels from small craft to large yachts. Over the years the work has moved further towards design and consulting — system architecture, schematics, load calculations and protection calculations built to class and regulatory requirements.
Much of our commissioning work is on new builds, including the electronics on newly built Nautor superyachts. We also run shore-based maintenance (SBM) contracts for SOLAS / IMO vessels, so GMDSS equipment stays available at sea.
Voltak Oy holds a RINA Certificate of Approval of Service Supplier and is a Traficom-approved radio service company. We carry out GMDSS radio surveys and ECDIS surveys with certified test equipment, to the relevant IEC, ISO and SOLAS requirements.
Owner Robert Nyberg is a qualified electrician (S2, 1000 V) who came to the trade through professional sailing. He works regularly at the Nautor Swan yard commissioning new superyachts, where the job is getting complicated electrical and electronic systems to work together properly. He holds Furuno ECDIS certification and a B&G Performance Level qualification.
Before Voltak, Robert sailed professionally and ran the electrical and electronic systems on board. In 2008 he spent six months on S/Y Pangaea's Antarctic expedition, responsible for every technical system on the boat. He has also won two gold medals at Sailing World Championships.

High output alternators with lithium batteries
Voltak has carried out numerous installations using custom high-output alternators mounted on dedicated brackets on the main engine. By combining several alternators, the system delivers outputs of up to 4,5kW, with advanced regulators ensuring precise control across multiple alternators.
